Last Saturday, I woke up at 5:30am so I can prepare for my 8am interview with my mentor, Bro. Bo Sanchez.
.
.

Fresh from a 14-hour flight from London, he said yes to my interview invitation for him.
.
.

.
.
Our topic was about “How to Lead with Love.” He articulated his wisdom so well using simple words. His words were so powerful but his actions even magnified his words. He is someone who walks his talk. Truly, he is someone who leads with love.
.
.

One of my guiding principles ever since I ventured into writing and speaking was to “Serve first, money will follow.” I learned this from Bro. Bo Sanchez.

.
.

Every time I do a project, I ask myself, “What is my motivation?”

.
.

If the answer is money or fame or applause, I stop and take some time to reflect and rectify my intentions. Because if I proceed and I succeed, I’d feel empty in the end.

.
.

I take my time to look into my heart and purify my intentions. Once the intention is clear — service or love — I’m all in!

.
.
I’m so grateful to have a great mentor in Bro. Bo!

Who is your mentor? Who are your mentors?
.
.

.
.
Choose your mentors well. Here are the three things you should look for in a mentor:
.
.
1. Character & Care – your mentor should mean what he says and says what he means. His words should match his actions. For example, if your mentor advices you on how to be happily married, he himself should be happily married.
.
.
2. Competence – choose a mentor who is already where you want to go. if you want a mentor in speaking, choose someone who speaks really well.
.
.
3. Vision/Purpose – your should have a purpose and a clear vision.
.
.

Don’t just listen to anyone. Carefully choose who you listen to because mentors can make or break you. Choose your mentors well.

.
.

Have a great week ahead! 🙂

.
.

I wish you success and happiness!
