Three Things I Discovered about Happiness that Awed Me
How are you? What does happiness mean to you? When I was much younger, happiness to me means achieving my goals, getting what I want, being treated well, etc. As I grow, I realized what real happiness means. Lately, I’ve experienced three setbacks that made me appreciate what real happiness is. Setback #1: When I got home a few nights ago, I found out that we had no electricity. Normally, I’d be tempted to get upset. Instead, I smiled and said,“Wow! This is going to be a unique experience. It’s camping night tonight. What an adventure.” Takeaway #1: Happiness is finding something amusing in a seemingly not-so-good situation. (Btw, our electricity was back…

The Blind Who Could See… and Who Made Others See
She was six years old when she lost her eye sight, a side effect of an over-the-counter drug that her doctor prescribed. If being born blind is hard, it’s probably harder to lose your eyesight because you would know what you would be missing. It took her two years to adjust to her condition. Her eyes couldn’t handle light, even just a little bit of it. Thus, her family had to put dark curtains in her room. Her brother, supportive as they were, took turns in reading to her using a candle. After two years, this little girl decided to face the world and go to school again.…

Bo Sanchez: How Much Did Your Money Grow In The Past 12 Months?
Here’s a very short letter from Bo Sanchez. -quote- How Much Did Your Money Grow In The Past 12 Months? Pamella, Penelope, and Petunia are sisters. The three of them are very responsible young women. They work in regular jobs and know how to save their money. After many years of savings, each of them had P100,000. It was their mother who taught them to save a part of their income each month. Sadly, her instruction ended there. She never told themwhere to put their savings. Pamella hides her P100,000 under her bed. Result? Her money never grows at all. Penelope thinks she was wiser than her sister…

John Maxwell’s “The 360° Leader” Workshop (Nov 17, 2011)
Here’s another workshop from Inspire Leadership Consultancy. – quote – Lead Yourself Exceptionally Well by John Maxwell an excerpt from The 360° Leader book Every now and then at a conference, sharp young kids will come up to me and tell me how much they want to become great leaders and how hard they’re working to learn and grow. But then they’ll lament, “I don’t have anyone to lead yet.” My response is to tell them, “Lead yourself. That’s where it all starts. Besides, if you wouldn’t follow yourself, why should anyone else?” Have you ever worked with people who didn’t lead themselves well? Worse, have you ever worked for…

The Philippines’ #1 Success Coach
I first attended his seminar called Attracting Wealth sometime in 2010. It was a whole day seminar held at SMX Convention Center with around 2,000 attendees! That was probably the biggest seminar I attended in terms of the number of attendees, or so I thought. A month after, I attended his Money Magnet seminar. This time, there were around 3,000 attendees! Whew! It was such a big crowd. Surprisingly, he was able to keep the big crowd captive the whole time. Why? Perhaps because the topic he discussed was very interesting! Or maybe because he was a great speaker after years of conducting seminars. I’m talking of none other than…
