Take Time to Relax and Play
Are you tired? Is stress eating you up?
Perhaps you need to take a break. Take time to play. 🙂
It’s been a year since I last played my favorite sport — badminton! I’ve been very busy and I just couldn’t squeeze badminton in my hectic schedule.
Then one day, my boss talked to me and invited me to play in the inter-color badminton tournament in our office. She knew I already turned down the invitation of our team representative to play.
My boss talked to me anyway. And she definitely knew how to make me say Yes! Nope, she didn’t use her authority to intimidate me. (She’s one of the best leaders I’ve encountered and she’s very easy to work with). She acknowledged that I’m very busy and I value time.  She told me not to worry since I only need to play once, just on that particular date (unless my partner and I will qualify for the championship round). She also said there’s no pressure to win the game. We just needed someone to represent our team. After a few minutes, I said, “Okay, I’ll play!”Â
My boss gave me a ride from our office in Ortigas to Manila Polo Club Forbes Park, Makati City. Then she arranged to have our company driver fetch me and bring me home after my game. 🙂
So there I was, playing my favorite sport! The moment I held the badminton racket and entered the badminton court, I set aside my other concerns and enjoyed every moment! I love playing badminton!
I played so hard and I had a great time with my colleagues and playmates! 🙂
Ang saya maglaro!!!Â
If you’re experiencing burnout right now, if you feel tired, take a break.
Watch a movie. I watched John Lloyd Cruz’s and Sarah Geronimo’s blockbuster movie It Take a Man and a Woman. It was an excellently done movie! I would highly recommend it.
Play your favorite sport. Eat ice cream or halo-halo! 🙂
I must have enjoyed playing badminton so much that night!  The  score was 2-1 (2 Wins, 1 Loss). And my partner and I may need to compete in the Championship Round! Mixed emotions. Hope I’m free to play again for the Championship Round a few weeks from now!
Have a great weekend!
Cheers,
Sha Nacino
P.S. Smile! 🙂 Remember, take time to play. Enjoy! 🙂Â

Nice story, Sha!
Indeed, take time to play and relax. Smash that stress out of your play zone. 🙂
