Five Things I Loved About the Asia Professional Speakers Convention
On May 10-12, 2018, I flew to Singapore together with eight other delegates from the Philippine Association of Professional Speakers (PAPS) to attend the Asia Professional Speakers Convention. Before I share with you the five things I loved about the Asia Professional Speakers Convention, let me thank two of my friends who inspired me to attend the convention. I’d like to thank my friend Coen Tan, an international speaker and trainer based in Singapore. Coen and I met at the Toastmasters International Convention in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia in August 2014. Since then, we became friends. I even flew to Singapore last year to attend his wedding. 5 Things I Loved…

“Why Do I Feel Empty?”
“Why do I feel empty?” This Facebook post caught my attention especially since the person who asked that question was Sarah Geronimo, a showbiz personality I truly admire. I feel Sarah. During one of my Toastmasters speeches, I shared an experience when I felt so empty as if nothing mattered in my life anymore. There was no joy, no excitement, no enthusiasm. There was nothing wrong in my life. In fact, I was doing pretty well. I had speaking engagements. I’ve written books. I had great relationships with my family, friends, and the people around me. During those days, I’d ask God everyday, “Lord, why do I…

Attitude of Gratitude
One fine day, a young mom was looking at her 3-year old daughter who was playing by the beach. Her daughter looked so lovely in her swimsuit and the young mom was very happy just looking at her daughter. Suddenly, a huge wave came rushing in and the wave caught her daughter. When the wave retreated, the young mom panicked because her daughter was taken by the huge wave. She cried out to God. Lord, why did you do this to me? I’ve been faithful to you. I’ve been kind. Why did You let the wave take away my daughter? Please… bring back my daughter to me! …

WCP 006: From Janitor to Business Owner
It was March 2016. Day 2 of Bro. Bo Sanchez’s Wealth Summit. Towards the end of Day 2, Bro. Bo Sanchez called a Wealth Summit participant on stage. What happened next was totally unexpected. . Lessons from Miss Universe 2016
Today was a momentous day not just for the Philippines but for the entire universe. . . I remember when I was still studying in U.P. Diliman. In the boarding house where I lived, my housemates and I loved to watch the Miss Universe pageant until late night. . . When I graduated from college, I couldn’t remember if I had the chance to sit down and watch the Miss Universe Coronation Night. . . Today, I was down with fever. It’s a blessing in disguise because I felt as if God was telling me, “Come on, Sha. Just relax today. Let me entertain you.” . . Thank God for…

It’s 6:15pm, Sunday, as I am writing this. I’m in a quiet restaurant in Shangrila Mall Edsa — a perfect way to cap a long day. For the past few weeks, I’ve been very busy with a lot of things – giving talks to companies and universities, giving training to hundreds of out-of-school youth in Q.C., writing a new book, etc. Today, I would like to share with you some random life lessons I learned in the past…
