What are your limiting beliefs?
Two years ago, I’ve had my first ever dance recital. Okay, it was not just a recital. It was a dance concert held at Star Theater in Pasay City. It was not just a dance concert. It was a Douglas Nierras Dance Concert. What was so special about this dance concert? I was never a dancer. I remember when I was still an employee. I joined a dance class sponsored by our company. Day 1, I was able to follow the steps. Day 2, I couldn’t follow the steps anymore. So I stopped attending the dance classes. I had this mindset: I’m not a dancer. I can never dance. Every time I would be invited to…

Happy Monday! 🙂 In just a few days, we’ll celebrate the birth of Christ. Let me greet you a Merry, Merry Christmas! 🙂 How would you like to travel to your dream destination for free? Let me share with you a little secret about how you can get round trip tickets for free! Last December 2017, I went on an all-expense paid trip to Dubai, plus a professional fee for my speaking engagement. I was with my best friend, her mom, and her mom’s best friends. There were five of us. But that’s not the secret I’m talking about. Here’s our photo at Dubai Desert Safari. The five of us loved Dubai so…

Three Things I Discovered about Happiness that Awed Me
How are you? What does happiness mean to you? When I was much younger, happiness to me means achieving my goals, getting what I want, being treated well, etc. As I grow, I realized what real happiness means. Lately, I’ve experienced three setbacks that made me appreciate what real happiness is. Setback #1: When I got home a few nights ago, I found out that we had no electricity. Normally, I’d be tempted to get upset. Instead, I smiled and said,“Wow! This is going to be a unique experience. It’s camping night tonight. What an adventure.” Takeaway #1: Happiness is finding something amusing in a seemingly not-so-good situation. (Btw, our electricity was back…

Who among you wants to work from home?
Hi! March here. I’m the brother of Sha. 🙂 . I’m a Digital Marketing Specialist certified by the International Institute of Digital Marketing and a Digital Marketing Trainer under the Department of Information and Communications Technology. “Who among you wants to work from home?” One time, while speaking to an event, out of curiosity, I asked the audience this question. I was quite surprised when almost all of them raised their hands! Now, this is where it gets interesting. After the event I got these feedback from the audience… “5 years and 6 mos na rin ako dun sa work ko. Ayoko na…

The True Millionaire’s Prayer
Hi! How are you? 🙂 It’s been a month since I wrote an article here in Seminar Philippines. I missed writing. I missed communicating with you. Did you miss me too? 😛 I have a lot to share with you. I’ve been learning a lot these past few months. Last March, I attended Bo Sanchez’ Wealth Summit wherein I was also one of the speakers. Last April, I attended a 3-day Public Speaking Convention in Imperial Palace, Mactan, Cebu. The speakers included Darren Lacroix who’s the World Champion in Public Speaking, Dinah Loomis, and Dr. Shaukat Chandna, among others. Last May, I gave talks to Ardy Roberto’s Project Author Class…

Be Aggressive yet Loving and Gentle
It was October 2008 when I first attended the Feast in Valle Verde. It was also my first time to see Bo Sanchez in person. Star struck was an understatement. I was awed at his skill in speaking. After listening to his talk, I felt rejuvenated. He had a cheerful disposition, a breath of fresh air. His message that day was about being aggressive yet loving and gentle. By being aggressive, he didn’t mean being rude, nor boastful, nor pushy, nor violent. He defined aggressive by presenting the 7 Laws of Aggressiveness. The 7 Laws of Aggressiveness 1) The Law of Clarity One should be very clear…

Take Time to Relax and Play
Are you tired? Is stress eating you up? Perhaps you need to take a break. Take time to play. 🙂 It’s been a year since I last played my favorite sport — badminton! I’ve been very busy and I just couldn’t squeeze badminton in my hectic schedule. Then one day, my boss talked to me and invited me to play in the inter-color badminton tournament in our office. She knew I already turned down the invitation of our team representative to play. My boss talked to me anyway. And she definitely knew how to make me say Yes! Nope, she didn’t use her authority to intimidate…

Do You Have a Story to Share?
Hi there! How are you after the holiday yesterday? 🙂 Years ago, I read a book that totally changed how I viewed money, my time, and my dreams. If I didn’t read that book, perhaps I would still be buried in credit card debts today. Or perhaps I would never have written a book! Indeed, a well-written book, packed with useful information, could change someone else’s life! Do You Want to Become an Author? When you become an author, you’ll never know the impact you’ll have on your readers. You’ll have the opportunity to inspire them, move them to action, and change their lives for…

How to Write a Book Even if You’re Not a Writer
Have you always wanted to write your own book? Surveys say that almost everyone dreams to write a book. What’s keeping you from writing your first book? Maybe, you may have any or all of these excuses. “I’m not a writer.” “I don’t know how to write a book.” “I’m too young (or too old) to write a book.” “I don’t know anyone (from the publishing world).” “No one knows me.” “I’m too busy to write.” I was never a writer. And I’ve had all the excuses I mentioned above. When I was still in school, Math was my favorite subject. Back then, every time…
