He used to work as an OFW in Malaysia for two years. After which, he worked as an IT professional in the Philippines for 7 more years.
He was doing pretty well in his job. He and his wife were also earning a decent amount of income. However, he was overworked and physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. Maybe this was also the reason why he and his wife couldn’t conceive after 4 years of being married.
Waking up early every weekday and working hard as an employee were something he didn’t want to do for the rest of his life.
That’s when he decided to make a change. He quit his job and pursued entrepreneurship.
It was only two years ago since he quit his job and ventured into business. Today, Allan Inocente and his wife now have two boys. Yes, his wife gave birth to two adorable boys! He now has more time for his family. And he’s obviously much happier.
Yes, he’s still working hard in his business, but this time, he owns his time.
Just recently, he posted a video of himself and his two-year old son playing basketball.
Quoting his Facebook status:
“This is the reason WHY I work hard in my business…for moments like this; to have the chance to witness all of my baby boy’s firsts…first walk, first word (guess what? I’d like to think it’s dddaaaa…ddyyyy, but his mom might have other words in mind or I maybe hearing things)…and now he is growing up so fast, he now shoots his very first basketball, and now knows how to DUNK!!!
We all have 24 hours in a day and we spend 2/3 of it sleeping and working just to make a living, not realizing that life is passing us by…
I’ve heard my mentor once say that in life “you have to make a CHOICE to take a CHANCE, or your life will never CHANGE.”
I’m glad I made that choice 2 years ago, otherwise, my life would not have changed and I would not have had the chance to spend it with my son for moments like this.” – Allan Inocente
How did he go from being an overworked and exhausted employee to becoming a successful entrepreneur and a happier family man?
This is what Allan Inocente will share with us on October 12, 2013!
Sometimes when we hear stories like this, they sound surreal until we meet the person in the flesh.
I am sure you will be inspired by Allan Inocente‘s story. Allan is one of my mentors and friends. Before I quit my job, I consulted him from time to time. I asked him what I needed to do to make it on my own, what I needed to prepare before I make that leap of faith of quitting my job and pursuing my own passions. Guess what?! He was really helpful! What’s more important was that he was giving first-hand advice and not something that he just read in books.
