What to Look Forward to in the First-Ever M.o.n.e.y & Me Seminar

Headline

Have you been working so hard for years, yet, you don’t understand where your money went?

Do you want to overcome your debts, save, and invest, but you don’t know where to start?

Do you want to pursue your real passion but you can’t leave your job because it’s youronly bread and butter?

I can relate with you.

Hi,  I’m Sha Nacino.

I was a struggling employee for nine years!   In my first year as an employee, I got buried in credit card debts. There were days when I couldn’t focus at work because I was worried where to get money to pay for my credit card bills.

I wanted to resign but I couldn’t. One, I had zero savings and I had humongous debt! Two, I didn’t know what to do in case I resign. I didn’t know my passions. I didn’t know what would make me happy. I was broke and lost. You could just imagine the stress I was experiencing.

There were days when I didn’t even have enough money to buy myself a decent lunch.

I can still remember that particular day as if it happened just yesterday. It was almost lunch time, I only had Php50 in my wallet and my salary will arrive in three days. That was all the money I had!

I was hungry but I was ashamed to borrow money from my colleagues. I phoned my father who’s based in the province, some 12 hours away from Manila.

“Pa, can I borrow Php1,000?”

In less than an hour, my Papa sent me the money via LBC. He wanted to increase the amount but I assured him that Php1,000 would be fine.

From my office in Ayala Avenue, I walked all the way to Buendia with my pencil cut skirt, a nice top, and high heels. I had to traverse the stretch of Buendia to locate LBC and get my Php1,000. I had no umbrella and the heat of the sun melted my make-up. I felt like a foolish clown who was on the verge of crying. Had there been cameras around, the scene would have been perfect for a funny, melodramatic music video.

My physical hunger and my aching feet were nothing compared to what I felt inside. I felt stripped off my dignity, walking kilometers on a hungry stomach just to get my Php1,000 — and it’s all because I didn’t know how to manage my money!

Search for Solution

I was desperate to improve my finances.   I started to read financial management books. Prior to this, I was not really fond of reading books. In fact, my original course in college was Public Administration but I shifted to Business Economics because I dreaded the articles and books we were required to read in Public Administration.

I read Rich Dad Poor Dadby Robert Kiyosaki. I felt Robert Kiyosaki was really talking to me. He introduced to me the concept of passive income and financial freedom. He made me hunger to keep learning.

Robert Kiyosaki’s book is great. I began to wonder, will the concepts he is teaching also work in the Philippine setting? The answer came when I chanced upon the bestselling book Think Rich, Pinoy!written by Dr. Larry Gamboa. I got to know Dr. Larry Gamboa through one of the books of Bro. Bo Sanchez.

I was learning a lot. Not only did I read books. I attended financial management seminars almost every month!

Slowly, inch by inch, my finances began to improve. My mindset on money changed.

Financial Education Changed My Life

After three years of reading financial management books, attending financial management seminars, and talking to people who are successful in their finances, I was able to zero out my credit card debts! I couldn’t have been happier. I felt as if a big, heavy boulder was lifted off my shoulder.

I started to save. I started to invest in mutual funds and in the stock market.

After a year of investing in the stock market, I was able to make my dreaming of touring Europe come true!!!

I was so passionate (I still am) about spreading financial education to as many individuals as possible. This led me to write my first book Think Rich, Yuppies! In the process of writing my first book, I fell in love with writing.

I found my passion. Writing is my passion.  I write every day. To date, I’ve written and published over five books so far.

The best part is having the capability to quit my job and pursue my passions full time.  Note: The goal is not to quit your job. The goal is to pursue what makes you happy. :)

quit my job

Nothing beats waking up each morning and having the opportunity to pursue your passion full time. The happiness it brings is something that no amount of money could buy.

Myths About Money

I used to think that in order to earn more money, you need to work hard and work long hours. That means, if you want to have more money, you’ll have less time for your family. Guess what?! That’s a myth!

I used to think that in order to succeed in my finances, I need to increase my salary and earn a lot of money.   This is a myth! Earning more money doesn’t guarantee financial success. In fact, you may be earning a lot of money each month, but if you don’t have the right money mindset and the healthy money habits, you may end up being broke and unhappy. There’s more to financial success than money.

I used to believe that our job provides financial security. Money keeps coming every salary day. When I retire, my company would take care of me through my retirement pay. Guess what?! That’s a myth as well.

Nowadays, there is no such thing as job security!  Your employer can fire you anytime. Ouch! But this is reality. You need to prepare for these uncertainties.

Things Have Changed

Today, things have changed dramatically. There is a way to make more money while spending more time with your family and doing what you love to do. This is possible through the concept of passive income.

There is a way to make money doing what you love to do. You can pursue fun, and funds will follow. You can go on vacations for as long as you want and you can still continue earning.

Money is a symbol of value. It means that if you want to make more money, you need to give more value. To give more value, you need to make yourself more valuable.

You can live the life you want and make your dreams come true!

What Must We Do?

The first thing we need to do is invest in ourselves, that is, to invest in our financial education.

Money was never really taught in school. Good thing there are books and seminars that teach us about money.

We need to equip ourselves with the right money mindset. We need to get accustomed to the healthy money habits. We need to learn how to manage our money so we can turn our dreams to reality.

We need to train our eyes to spot the opportunities to make more money.

We need to train our minds to be smart in seizing these opportunities and making the best out of them.

We need to train our hearts to understand the ultimate purpose of money — that money is just a means towards a higher goal — that goal is love.

We need to train our hearts not to be consumed by greed because that will lead to emptiness and sadness.

Introducing…

MONEY & ME Seminar:

Manage Your Money.

Turn Your Dreams to Reality.

Official poster

I am very excited to give this seminar. This is the first time I am giving this unique seminar.

You see, money is not the goal. Money is just a means to your higher goal. Higher goal could be spending more time with your family, traveling the world, pursuing your real passion without worrying over money. Your goals may be different from mine. That’s okay, because our goals are intimate to us. Our goals are personal.

No matter what your higher goals are, this seminar could help you go from where you are now to where you want to go.

What You Will Learn in the Seminar

In this seminar, you will learn:

How to Set Your Financial Goals the Right Way. There is a science to setting financial goals. It means there is a formula to achieving your goals faster and with greater accuracy.

That One Big Thing that Will Inspire You to Achieve Your Goals… Regardless of the Obstacles that Come Your Way.  Let’s face it. Life is full of challenges. In our journey to making our dreams a reality, we will encounter many obstacles and roadblocks that might dissuade us from keeping on. You know what? You have the power within you that will propel you to success! You have the power within you that will make you conquer whatever obstacles that come your way. Once you learn this, the obstacles will pale in comparison to your higher goals.

A Simple Habit that Will Help You Get Rich. Gab and Bie are friends. Gab is earning Php100,000 a month while Bie is earning Php20,000 a month. Who is richer?

After five years of working, Gab has negative net worth while Bie has more than Php300k net worth. What’s the difference? Bie applied that one simple habit that made him rich. You will learn this in the seminar.

How to Zero Out Credit Card Debts. Is credit card good or bad? The answer is: It’s neutral. What makes a credit card good or bad depends on the person holding it. If you know how to use it well, it can work to your advantage. If you’re clueless how to use it, it will shatter your finances.

In this seminar, you will learn how to use card to your advantage and how to effectively zero out your credit card debts.

If you’ve been paying huge interests for your credit card debts and you want to finally zero them out, I will show you simple, effective, and proven steps on how you can do that. This is very powerful!

What to Buy and What Not to Buy. We hear people say, “Buy a car, it’s an asset. Buy this brand new, high end phone, it’s an asset. Buy this, buy that.”

Consumerism is all around us. We buy things which the society defines as assets. We buy things that we think could help us improve our lives. Stop! Before you spend your hard-earned money on anything, define first whether what you are buying is an asset or a liability and save yourself money and heartaches.

How to Grow Your Money Exponentially. Do you know that your 1,000 pesos can become one million pesos? This is possible through the power of compounding. In this seminar, you will learn how to turn your 1,000 pesos to one million pesos. You will learn the different vehicles you can ride towards arriving at your target financial destination.

How to Continue Earning No Matter What Happens to the Economy of the Philippines or to Your Job — this is very important, you can’t miss this! Your greatest asset is not the money you have in the bank, nor your investments, nor the properties you own. Your greatest asset is your earning ability.

No matter how broke you may be right now, your earning ability will determine how soon you can rise above your situation.

How and Why You Should Invest in Your Financial Education. Do you know how expensive financial illiteracy is? I know. It cost me a 6-figure amount, years of financial stress, and many sleepless nights. You don’t have to repeat the same mistakes I committed. You don’t have to go through the same financial stress I experienced. I will reveal to you the lessons I learned the hard and painful way.

Financial education is very important. We need to understand how money works, how to make, manage, and multiply money. In this seminar, you will learn the different ways to equip yourself with proper financial education.

How to Be Truly, Deeply, and Genuinely Happy with Money. Some people are not comfortable with a lot of money. They say, “I’m content with what I earn now. I don’t really want to get rich. I just want to be happy.”

It took me years to understand the ultimate purpose of money. Bo Sanchez summarizes it really well: “The purpose of wealth is to help others.”

Once you take this to heart, you will do everything you can to earn as much as you can in order to help as much as you can.

Once you take this to heart, you would detach yourself from money. Greed won’t eat you up. That’s when you become truly, deeply, and genuinely happy with money.

There’s More!

So far, I’ve  just mentioned the things I am going to discuss during the half day seminar. That’s just the tip of the ice berg.

My co-speaker is financially much wiser than me. He is much more experienced than me. He is my mentor and he is a mentor to thousands of Filipinos. And get this: He is the real estate mentor of Bro. Bo Sanchez.

Imagine the wealth of information you will learn from Dr. Larry Gamboa, national bestselling author of the books Think Rich, Pinoy!and Grow Rich, Pinoy!

This is something you cannot miss!
