I met with some fellow authors in a coffee shop one night and we had a beautiful conversation and exchange of ideas.

This man in his 50’s mentioned that he married when he was only 17 years old. He also said that he used to drink every day and he never finished high school after 13 years and 6 schools.

Then I asked him, “Are you still married to the same woman?”

.
He answered, “Yes, I’m still married to my wife and we’ve been married for 38 years now!”

“Wow! So what’s the secret?!” I asked.

He took out his cell phone and showed us the picture of his wife in his cell phone wall paper. He said, “Whenever I look at my cell phone, I see the picture of my wife. It’s like her staring at me and warning me not to do anything stupid.”

We all laughed.
.
.
When I thought about it, everything made sense to me. His cell phone is his vision board. And it’s very powerful! It keeps you focused on what’s important and on your dreams!

So simple, right? Yet, it’s often taken for granted.
