Bo Sanchez’s Advice to Single People…on How to Choose a Spouse

How are you?

.

.

How was your weekend? 🙂

.

.

I spent mine attending the biggest inspirational event of the year — the Kerygma Conference 2014.

.

.

I learned so much from Bro. Bo Sanchez , Jason Evert, and all the other speakers! And of course! My heartfelt THANKS to all the speakers, organisers, and servants of Kerygma Conference! I pray that God will reward you a thousandfold for your service and dedication. You inspired me a lot!

.

I’d like to share my notes with you.

.

.

Let me begin by sharing with you Bro. Bo Sanchez’s advice to single people on how to choose a spouse. Bro. Bo said it so well I felt he just verbalised what many of us have been trying to figure out. I really feel he is anointed! I’m always amazed at how profound his messages were, yet he would deliver them using very simple words that even a grade schooler could understand.

.

.

If you’re single like me, then this is for you 🙂

.Bro. Bo Sanchez’s Advice to Single People on How to Choose a Spouse

.

.

1. Choose a CONSISTENT person.

..

2. Choose someone YOU ENJOY TALKING WITH. Because a day will come and that beautiful body will shift. A day will come, there will be one thing left — conversations.

.

3. Choose someone that knows how to LAUGH at himself and at his mistakes.

.

4. Choose someone who KNOWS HOW TO SAY SORRY.

.

5. Choose someone who has a GREATER PASSION FOR JESUS than you do. Because when you’re down and when you’re paralysed, you need someone to carry you and bring you to Jesus.

.

I posted it in my Facebook and Instagram accounts. Bro. Bo Sanchez reposted it in his Facebook page and whew! It generated 23,850 likes and 14,901 shares as of this writing!

.

.

Indeed, many singles could identify to the five things Bro. Bo Sanchez mentioned.

Here’s the screenshot in case you want to repost it in your social media accounts and save your Single friends from making wrong decisions. 🙂

..

I totally agree with everything Bro. Bo Sanchez said.

..

First, a consistent person will not play games with your heart. His words will be consistent with his actions. He won’t keep you guessing where the relationship is going because he is man enough to define your relationship and verbalise it clearly with you. A guy who keeps you guessing is someone who is unsure of what he wants and is afraid of possible rejection.

.

Two, conversations really matter. Sometimes, you don’t need to go places or eat in fancy restaurants with your boyfriend in order to be happy. Sharing a simple meal in a humble place while engaging in humorous, profound, and deep conversations is enough.

.

Three, a guy or girl who knows how to laugh at his/her mistakes speaks a lot about his/her humility and attitude as a person. It’s fun to be with people who don’t take themselves too seriously.

.

Four, true. I believe that a guy who knows how to say sorry properly is courageous, humble, respectful, and a real gentleman. If you know you’ve hurt someone so deeply, don’t you think it’s proper to man up and say sorry to that person in person? Saying sorry via text is lame. Talking about it to your friends and your friends talking about it to other people is even more inappropriate. (Chismoso guys are a complete turnoff.)

..

Just say sorry sincerely and in person. The other person will appreciate it. It will bring you peace of mind. Who knows? Maybe that person has already forgiven you a long time ago. 🙂

.

This reminds me of the Sacrament of Confession. Sometimes, we are bugged down by our sins and we forget that we have a God whose mercy is endless. Even before we say sorry, I believe He has already forgiven us. The Sacrament of Confession will give us peace of mind because we are affirmed that we’ve been forgiven totally and completely.
.

.

Five, true! Choose a spouse who will help you grow closer to Jesus, and not someone who will pull you away from Him. Choose someone who will encourage you to put Jesus in the centre of your relationship.

.

.

And of course, as the cliche goes, “Be the right person and the right person will come.”

.

Be the right Spouse even before meeting The One. Don’t settle for someone less than who you deserve. 🙂

.

Singles in the house, do you agree? Is there anything you would like to add in the list? Please feel free to share in the comments.

.

Married couples, what do you think of this list?

Have a beautiful week ahead! 🙂

.

I wish you success and happiness!
