What Are Your Plans for 2015?

Happy New Year! 😀
.
 .
Are you excited for 2015?
.
 .
Maybe you’re so excited to seize the year right away and start working. That’s good. But I believe planning is very crucial.
.
 .
One of the lessons I learned the painful way in 2014 was that I should have spent more time to plan. Don’t get me wrong. I did plan at the start of 2014 and during the year. But the time I spent to plan was not sufficient.
.
 .
I love what I do but there were times in 2014 when I was so stressed out because deadlines were approaching so fast and my deliverables were over my head. I realised I lacked one thing: sufficient planning.
.
 .
I’m thankful that we had our annual planning at Institute for Integrality, Inc. before we went on vacation on December 2014. As early as the second week of December 2014, we’ve already laid down our plans for 2015 — complete with dates and other necessary details.
.
 .

I decided I want to do the same for my startup company and for my personal goals as well.

.
 .
This 2015, I am dedicating five whole days to plan for my 2015. Yes, you read that right. Five days. From January 5-9, 2015, I will stay in a hotel out-of-town, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, to think and plan.
.
 .
During the planning session, I’ll plan what books to write and when to launch them, the talks I’ll deliver, the books I’d like to read, new skills I want to develop, places I’d like to visit complete with dates, dates when I’ll go home to our province for vacations, people I’d like to meet and when to meet them, the kind of person I’d like to become, the many ways I can serve the community and you, and plot all of them in my planner and desk calendar.
.
 .
Take Time to Plan
.
 .
Take time to plan. You don’t have to spend five days to plan. You could allot one Saturday, or one afternoon, to plan your goals for 2015. Write down your goals. Read them everyday.
.
 .
In Luke 14:24, Jesus said, “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?”
.
 .
Makes sense, isn’t it?
.
 .
Go ahead. Write down your plans for 2015.
.
 .
I wish you success and happiness!
