In my previous email, I shared how I saw my younger siblings ages 5 and 7 then, type my name on the Youtube search bar. They were checking out my youtube videos. My younger siblings love to watch cartoons so it either I’m also a cartoon character to them or they choose to love their own.
My note to self was: Carefully choose what to post on social media and youtube. Make sure it’s inspiring and meaningful for anyone, including little kids, to read, watch, and listen to.
But wait…Do you think it’s equally important that we, as adults, choose what to feed our minds?
One of the most important lessons I learned from Jim Rohn is this…
“Stand guard at the door of your mind.”
I did my research and here’s what I found out…
Per Social Media Today, the average person spends nearly 2 hours (approximately 116 minutes) on social media everyday or 60 hours a month! Woah!
An average Metro Manila resident wastes as much as 28,000 hours of his economic life because of heavy vehicular traffic, according to Business Mirror.
Now, if we are not careful, negative thoughts can enter our minds through our exposure on social media, traffic, stress, and so on.
That’s why we need to be intentional about what we feed our minds.
Which is why, I compiled the most recommended videos on happiness and gratitude which I sent to you about two days ago.
Did you receive it? If not, no worries. I’m putting it here for easy reference.
Bring out the popcorn and enjoy the videos!
Enjoy the weekend!
