How to Lose 8 Pounds in 3 Weeks!

I was reviewing one of my videos for one of the talks I gave and I was horrified by what I saw.

OMG! I’m out of shape! I’ve got bulges and they didn’t look good on me. Arrrghhh!
.
.
That’s when I developed a strong desire to shed off some pounds and be fitter.
.
.
One day, I was in our office and Tita Malu entered. She is the mom of my friend and she’s one of our trainers in our company. She looked so vibrant, happy, and full of energy. 
.
.
She asked me how I was and I told her I’m trying to get fitter. I shared my diet with her: 
  1. No rice. (I’m a rice eater so this was really, really hard for me. If I had to eat rice, I can only eat a maximum of two cups of rice in one week!)
  2. No soda or juice or any coloured drinks. I can only drink pure coconut water or water.
  3. No chocolates. Ouch! I love chocolates!

Plus eat lots of salad. 

.
.
Tita Malu, as how I fondly call her, looked at me lovingly and said, 
.
.
Oh, don’t deprive yourself naman, Sha. You can still eat a little bit of what you like but you need to add exercise to your routine.”
.
.

Malu is a Zumba an exercise/Zumba/healthy habits advocate. I remember, in one of the trainings we conducted in Davao, she led the participants to dance Zumba. The atmosphere instantly changed.

.
.
She danced with full energy and everyone danced happily and with so much energy! I danced, too, even if I wasn’t really a dancer. Haha!
.
.
So anyway, when I heard Tita Malu’s advice, I smiled and a spark of joy was kindled in my heart.
Oh yes! I will do Zumba every day!
.
.
That’s what I did. Everyday, I would dance Zumba on Youtube for 30 minutes to one hour. I have a tracker for my physical activities and I make sure I hit 100% of my physical goals every single day.

.
Ang saya magZumba!
.
.

 

I felt more energetic! I felt happier! I felt sexier! Haha!

But I think I wouldn’t have appreciated Zumba if I didn’t experience Tita Malu’s Zumba when we were in Davao.

.
Here’s the result: In 3 weeks, I lost 8 pounds!
Thank God for Zumba! Of course, coupled with proper diet and enough exercise as well.
