Take Time to Rest :)

My message today is short and simple: Take time to rest.

Last week, I spent 5 days helping my bestfriend baby sit her two nephews ages 5 months and 5 years, respectively. I’m not yet a mom and that was the first time I was immersed in taking care of two baby/little boys. 

.

.
During those 5 days, I wasn’t able to work much. In fact, the 5-day baby sitting stint was full time. I wasn’t able to report to work and I just had coordinate with my team remotely. Good thing my boss (myself, hehe) was allowed me to work remotely.

.

.

I also didn’t sleep much. I wasn’t able to nap during the day. I was so tired. But the experience was so beautiful and I am so grateful for it. That experience also made me realize how challenging it is to be a mom or dad or guardian. 

.

.

After my 5-day stint as an Assistant Baby Sitter, I went for a relaxing massage. Then I went home to our province a plane ride away from Manila to celebrate my Papa’s birthday and for a short vacation. I’m writing this from home.

.

.

Maybe you’re busy with work and with family matters. I salute you for that.

.

.

But take time to rest. When you are well rested and you are more relaxed, you tend to be more positive and more creative.

.

.
