How Financial Literacy and Stock Market Investing Funded My Dream European Tour
In 2009, I experienced one of the most painful setbacks of my life: I was scammed by someone I trusted, losing ₱200K. The experience left me devastated, but it also planted the seed for one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned—financial literacy is a necessity, not a luxury.
Fast forward to 2010, when I stumbled upon Bo Sanchez’s book, “My Maid Invests in the Stock Market.” My initial reaction was disbelief:
“Investing in the stock market? Isn’t that just for the rich?”
Imagine my surprise when I learned that Bo’s maid had been investing. It was a lightbulb moment for me:
“Kung kaya ng maid ni Bro. Bo mag-invest sa stock market, kaya ko rin!”
I was determined to learn how to invest, and that’s when I discovered TrulyRichClub.

• Spain: Experiencing the joy of World Youth Day in Madrid.
• Italy: Hearing Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, exploring the Roman Colosseum, and enjoying heavenly gelato.
From being buried in debt and scammed to investing in stocks and using my money to fund a European tour, this transformation was possible because of financial education and mentorship.
