Relationship Matters
It’s 1:00am as I am writing this. I just got home from a very tiring, productive, and exciting day!
I know I am supposed to sleep now but my energy is still so high. A few days ago, I shared the 101 things I loved about the 4-day toastmasters convention that I attended. Up until today, I still have a happiness hangover from the Toastmasters Convention.
I”m just sooooo happy I can’t put words to it. I thank God because I feel so loved and I feel I have so much love to share. Okay, I’m not talking about romantic love. 😛 It’s the kind of love you give your friends, family, and the people that matter to you. It’s the kind of love that makes you feel loved, accepted, and cherished.
I guess it all boils down to relationships. Here’s the lesson I’d like to share with you today: Your relationship determines your level of happiness.
I just want to share with you a bit of how my day went.
At about 12nn, I met my Boss. He is the best Boss anyone can ever have. He gives me everything I need and I only have to give him 10% of whatever I earn. He fills my heart with so much love and my mind with great ideas. He is more than a Boss. He is my Everything. I guess you have a pretty good idea who He is. Thank You, God! 🙂
At a little past 1:00pm, I proceeded to Alabang to attend the blessing of my mentor Dr. Larry Gamboa’s real estate office. It’s such an honor to receive a personal invite from Dr. Larry.
The office blessing was attended by Dr. Larry Gamboa’s family and close business associates. I saw many of my mentors and friends there, too! It was so good to see Dean Pax Lapid, Edward Lee (founder of COL Financial), Maves Angeles, Eden Dayrit, Cheri Roberto, Ronnie Siasayco, and many more! It was a reunion of sort.

From Alabang, I rushed to Makati Sports Club to interview another mentor Mr. Charlie Fernando. He is the President and Founder of CLIX Logic. He is a successful entrepreneur and one of the speakers during Bro. Bo Sanchez’s Wealth Summit 2013 and 2014.

Mentor Charlie, as how I call him, is in the business of supplying UPS to Jollibee, Mercury Drug, Shangrila Hotels, etc. I interviewed him for Bro. Bo Sanchez’s Truly Rich Club newsletter.
He is a very busy entrepreneur but he allots time to share his wisdom to a start-up entrepreneur like me. During our interview, I learned so much about the importance of relationships, even in business.
At about 8:30pm, I met my toastmasters friends Trixie, Jane, and Deegee. I love these guys! We were together during the 4-day toastmasters convention. We seem to enjoy, really enjoy, each other’s company! 🙂
We went to a restaurant in Makati to watch an Improv show by the SPIT. Some of the popular members of the SPIT are Gabe Mercado (remember “Okay ka ba tiyan?”) and Chal Lontoc-del Rosario, the resident host for Go Negosyo events.

The SPIT show was like a comedy act but it’s impromptu. It means that everything they do on stage was impromptu.
That night, they asked the audience to say random words and they crafted a story using those words. They also asked the audience random words and they would crack jokes on the spot using those random words. I was really amazed at how witty and funny they could get. Loved their show! 🙂
Relationships Matter
I’m taking time to write this article and share this with you because I care about you and I want to invest in my relationship with you, my blog readers, whom I treat as friends.
Relationship matters. I may be able to write and publish all the books I want but if I don’t have a happy relationship with my family or friends, I would feel empty.
I encourage you to invest in healthy relationships. Your relationships determine your level of happiness.
Spend more time with people who bring out the best in you.
Make time for creating happy relationships.
I wish you success and happiness!
Cheers,
